9-27-26 Message - Mark 10:46-52

In Mark 10:46–52, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus hears that Jesus is passing by and cries out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Bartimaeus may not be able to see Jesus, but he sees clearly who Jesus is. He recognizes his need for mercy, responds when Jesus calls, submits to Jesus as his Teacher, and ultimately follows Jesus on the way. Bartimaeus comes to Jesus wanting something from Him, but after receiving his sight, he doesn't simply walk away. He chooses to follow. What does his story teach us about faith? Faith isn't just about believing Jesus can give us what we need. It's about seeing Jesus for who He is and choosing to follow Him wherever He leads.
