You might have noticed that even when following a pattern or tutorial, the cord provided doesn't always match up perfectly. But don't worry, it's not you; it's just the nature of the craft! Here's why: Tension and Spacing: Macrame is all about precision, and the tension and spacing of your knots can affect how much cord you use. Slight variations in your technique can make a difference in the length you need. Different Cord Manufacturers: There are various macrame cord manufacturers, and each may have slight differences in the cord's thickness or stretchiness. These variations can impact how much cord you use. To make sure you have enough cord for your project, especially when attempting a new pattern or tutorial, I always advise cutting a bit extra. It's better to have a little extra cord than to run out in the middle of your project.
