Hi everyone! I get asked a lot over on Instagram about how to paint skin, and in this video I'll show you not only how I build layers of watercolor with tonal values and glazing, but also how to find different hues for a light skin tone using basic color theory. This is the first part of a series about how to paint skin with more chapters to follow over the coming months that will focus on darker skin tones. I hope you enjoy the video! MATERIALS: Winsor and Newton Professional Watercolours Betty Hayways Round Brushes Bee Paper (300gsm, 100% cotton) Faber-castell Polychromos (Red & Black) Daler-Rowney 'Shimmering Gold' Ink MUSIC: 'Mindfulness' & 'Cosmic Technology' both available inside the Splice app which I use to do all of my video editing.
