27 HECHVAN 5787 • 7 NOVEMBRE 2026 🎶 PARACHANT – The Torah Portion Through Song ✨ HAYÉ SARAH – THE LIGHT OF A GENERATION 🎤 by Shlomo Abouhatsira What makes a life truly eternal? Is it the years we live, or the light we leave behind? Welcome to PARACHANT, a musical journey through the weekly Torah portions, where timeless stories come alive through beautiful melodies, meaningful lyrics, and spiritual inspiration. In this emotional French-language song, Hayé Sarah (Chayei Sarah), meaning The Life of Sarah, we discover a powerful message of faith, kindness, love, and the eternal legacy of our ancestors. Although the portion begins with Sarah’s passing at the age of 127, her story is far from over. 📜 THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG From Abraham’s sorrow and his purchase of the Cave of Machpelah to his servant’s remarkable journey in search of a wife for Isaac, the Torah reveals how divine guidance and acts of kindness shape the future of generations. We witness Rebecca’s extraordinary generosity at the well, her destined encounter with Isaac, and the beautiful continuation of Sarah’s spiritual legacy. As Abraham’s own journey eventually comes to an end, the promise of faith lives on through the next generation. 💫 THE MESSAGE True greatness is not measured by how long we live, but by how much light we bring into the world. Sarah’s kindness, Abraham’s faith, Rebecca’s generosity, and Isaac’s devotion remind us that the greatest inheritance we can leave behind is not material wealth, but the values, love, and inspiration we pass on. A generation may pass, but its light can shine forever. 🎵 ABOUT PARACHANT PARACHANT combines Paracha (the weekly Torah portion) and Chant (song in French).
