Why I Never Use My Freewrite

Years ago, I bought a Freewrite Smart Typewriter because I loved the idea of a dedicated writing device. It looks beautiful, feels intentional, and promises a distraction-free space for long-form creative writing. The problem is that I almost never write that way. Most of my writing is professional or academic, where editing, restructuring, citations, and research matter too much for a forward-only drafting device to make sense. But I still cannot bring myself to get rid of it. #freewrite #writing #productivity
