You can navigate directly to Shivanasamudra Falls. 🚌 By bus There isn't a particularly convenient direct bus all the way to the waterfalls. From Bengaluru/Mysuru: 1. Take a KSRTC bus towards Malavalli or Kollegala. 2. From Malavalli, hire an auto/cab for the remaining ~30 km; Karnataka Tourism specifically recommends this connection. 3. Alternatively, buses towards Kollegal are available, with the falls roughly 20 km away; take a local cab/auto for the last stretch. KSRTC BUS stand, malavalli is a useful transfer point. 🚆 By train There is no railway station at Shivanasamudra itself. Best options: • Mysuru Junction → Shivanasamudra: about 80 km by road. Mysuru has substantially better train connectivity. • Maddur → Shivanasamudra: closer, but you'll need a road connection onward. Karnataka Tourism lists Maddur and Mysuru as the nearest railway options. So, bus + cab is much more practical than trying to reach the falls entirely by train.
