Parking: Small car park (60 cars) - Make a donation in machine. No ticket issued. Dogs: Yes Pushchairs/Buggies: Yes Trainers: Road (Trail in winter for parts) Volunteer: vicarwatercountrypark@parkrun.com Course: A single clockwise lap on a mixture of tarmac and trail paths Around a lake and up and over the hill Start and Finish are close to the car park Course Notes: A lovely one lap course. Trail section was ok in road shoes, but maybe trail after rain. Course starts with a gentle upwards incline to the lake and then the path flatterns out. At the end of the lake you do a small loop up and over a small hill. Then you return to the path around the lake which gently undulates Around 3.5/4.0km, you make a U turn and head up the big never ending hill. The gradient varies as you head up the hill with some sections steeper than others, Once at the top the views are magnificient. Then it is a long downhill to the finish. The downhill is not steep but has a few turns. You can see the pit winding gear in the distance as you head down the hill.
