They won Brussels Challenge Major Edition 2026, 2nd at the MIXUP 2026 and the Red Bull Knockout Duos LCQ, and 4th at VSFighting XIV! With the density of Tag/VS competition in France and a few other players from other countries, they are impressive results and I think they'd likely have some good showings at the Challenger Events they didn't get to go to. With Marvel Tokon coming onto the scene REBOOT|Opal has clearly been effective in doing the work in that game, which IMO has the most difficult mid-level execution in a mainstream fighting game in some time. Entering the 2nd big Tokon bracket about a month after release, they ended up finishing 2nd at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2026, in barnburner of a Top 8 and Grand Finals! Going into Grand Finals from Losers, REBOOT|Opal reset the set in a tight 3-2 win and then last the tight Final set 2-3, with many games, including both set deciding ones, went down to the 5th and final round! Hopefully REBOOT|Opal will get more opportunities to travel, but being based in France, I'm pretty sure we'll see them soon at EVO France 2026, doing work in both the 2XKO and Tokon brackets! They stepped into the arena with, a decorated Guilty Gear Strive competitor, the best May player with the bracket heights they've brought her, Slash has probably been one of the most hyped players for Marvel Tokon, and a committed Deadpool Main the moment they laid eyes on the character trailer! They've been in the GGST top tier competitive mix for a minute, getting 2n at EVO 2022, winning Brussels Challenge Major Edition back to back in 2023 and 2024, 2nd at the ARC World Tour Finals 2024, 3rd at Frosty Faustings XVI 2024, and 4th at Combo Breaker 2023 and Frosty Faustings XV! They have also dabbled in other games, though as a Saudi player it seems their netplay limitations really dictate which games they can even go hard on. Which sucks because Slash really does embody the spirit of a Tag/Vs game player, with the US/NA being the stronghold where those games are most popular. Hopefully we'll get to see more of Slash's Deadpool, and at an offline soon! I'll also say, every time I watch Slash's Deadpool in replays, it's getting better and better, big damage combos steadily lacing the place and ending rounds! We know there'll be 7 Tour events and a LCQ to qualify for Tokon at the ARC World Tour Finals, if Slash can make it out to them, no doubt they'll be in the competitive mix!
