Hello everyone, and welcome back to my YouTube channel! ❤️🙏🇰🇭 In today's video, I am happy to share a special and heartwarming moment from my return to my hometown during the Pchum Ben Festival in Cambodia. This traditional Cambodian festival is an important time when families come together to honor their ancestors, visit pagodas, make offerings, and spend precious time with their loved ones. For many Cambodian families, Pchum Ben is more than just a religious celebration. It is also a wonderful opportunity for children who live far away to return home, reunite with their parents, grandparents, siblings, relatives, and friends, and enjoy the happiness of being together again. 🙏 Returning to My Hometown During the Pchum Ben Festival In this video, I take you along as I return to my hometown during the Pchum Ben holiday. After visiting the pagoda and participating in traditional religious activities, we return home and prepare for a special family gathering. Coming home always brings me a warm and wonderful feeling. No matter how busy life becomes or how far away we may live, there is something truly special about returning to the place where we grew up and spending time with our parents and relatives. The peaceful atmosphere of the countryside, the familiar surroundings, and the happiness of seeing family members again make this occasion even more meaningful. We spend time talking, sharing stories, laughing together, and preparing a delicious meal for everyone to enjoy. 🐷 Ordering a Whole Pig from a Local Villager to Be Roasted in an Oven After returning from the pagoda, we ordered a whole pig from a local villager to prepare a special meal for our family gathering. We took the pig to be professionally roasted in an oven until the skin developed a beautiful golden-brown color and the meat was cooked thoroughly. The whole roasted pig looked incredibly appetizing, making it the centerpiece of our family feast. Roasting a whole pig requires preparation, patience, and experience to achieve a beautiful appearance and delicious results. Once the roasted pig was ready, we brought it home and prepared it for everyone to share. For us, this roasted pig was more than just a delicious dish. It was part of a meaningful family celebration, bringing everyone together around the dining table to enjoy food, laughter, and precious moments. The sight of the beautifully roasted pig, along with fresh vegetables and other dishes, made the gathering feel even more festive and special. 🥬 Preparing a Delicious Feast with Fresh Vegetables and Traditional Food We arranged the food in the outdoor area of our home, preparing the roasted pig, fresh vegetables, and other dishes for everyone to enjoy together. Everyone gathered around the table, sharing food and enjoying conversations with parents, siblings, relatives, and other family members. There was a wonderful atmosphere filled with smiles, laughter, and the happiness of being reunited. Although the meal was full of delicious food, the most important part was having the opportunity to sit together and share this special occasion. In Cambodian culture, sharing a meal is an important way to strengthen family relationships. These simple moments remind us that happiness does not always come from expensive things or grand celebrations. Sometimes, the greatest happiness comes from eating together with the people we love. ❤️ The Priceless Happiness of Being Together with Our Parents and Family Returning to our hometown during the Pchum Ben Festival reminds us how precious our parents and family truly are. Life can be busy, and sometimes work or other responsibilities keep us away from home. That is why special occasions like Pchum Ben are so meaningful. They give us the opportunity to reconnect with our loved ones, show our appreciation, and create beautiful memories together. 🙏 Please Support My YouTube Channel!
