Multiple Congolese media outlets and regional sources reported that Dusauchoy was apprehended in Tanzania on 30 August 2026. However, accounts differ over the exact location and circumstances of her detention. Some reports place the incident at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, while others claim she was initially detained elsewhere before being transferred to the city. The story took a dramatic turn when sources alleged that authorities in Kinshasa had dispatched a private aircraft to Tanzania to return her to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
