Hyperconnectivity, anxiety, endless information, bureaucracy, political polarization and the constant feeling of uncertainty have turned us into experts at escaping our own reflection. Mirrors was born from the need to stop running and finally look inward. The album follows an initiatory journey in which its protagonist crosses a metaphorical mirror to confront everything he has spent years avoiding: fear, trauma, contradictions, memories, frustration and, ultimately, his own shadow. It is not a story about defeating an external enemy, but about realizing that the monster has always been part of ourselves. Musically, the record follows the same path. It begins with hope and innocence before descending into anxiety, identity crises, social criticism, buried memories and personal transformation, finally reaching a cathartic sense of acceptance. With this third album, the band embraces its musical identity more openly than ever before. Progressive rock becomes the backbone of the record, while maintaining the elements that have always shaped its sound: hard psychedelia, blues, folk, flamenco and many other influences intertwine throughout the journey. Each song represents a chapter of that descent—and the ascent that follows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mirrors, Plastic Woods' third opus, was reflected by: Javier Rubio Arrabal - Drums, percussion Antonio Pérez Muriel - Bass, multiple arrangements Jesús de la Torre Sánchez - Guitars, vocals Rafael Marín Becerra - Keys, lap steel, multiple arrangements The speculum also showed: Elisa de la Torre García - Transverse flute on Sandflower & Jabberwocky Estefi Otero Martínez - Bendir & crótalos on Sandflower Miguel Rey Burgos - Additional snare drums on Jabberwocky Music composed by Plastic Woods Lyrics by Jesús de la Torre Artwork, design & final layout by Vaderetro Studio Special production skills by Antonio Pérez & Rafael Marín Recorded and mixed at Green Cross Studio (Málaga) by Jesús Gómez Moreno a.k.a Trikel, a.k.a Ricardo, a.k.a cielo during the first week of july 2025.
