ARCHBISHOP KAZIIMBA BEGINS FAREWELL TOUR IN KUMI DIOCESE

The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, has arrived in Kumi Diocese as part of his farewell tour ahead of the end of his tenure as the ninth Archbishop of the Church of Uganda. He was welcomed at Oladot Bridge by the Bishop of Kumi Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Michael Okwii Esakhan, together with other church leaders and Christians. During his visit, Archbishop Kaziimba blessed the Bishop Ilukor Memorial Mission Centre, which is still under construction and is expected to support the Diocese in advancing its mission and community development programmes. The Archbishop later proceeded to St. Andrew’s Church of Uganda in Malera, where he continued his farewell engagements with Christians. The tour continues today, August 29, 2026, with Archbishop Kaziimba expected to be hosted at St. Philip’s Cathedral in Ngora, as he continues bidding farewell to Christians and church leaders across Uganda before the conclusion of his tenure
