Why 90% Students Fear Entrance Exams|Arts, Commerce & Science Career Guide|Vishal Phale × Ashish Deo

Why do 90% of Arts, Commerce & Science students run away from career entrance exams? Not because they lack talent—but because of fear and zero awareness. Most students believe competitive exams are only for engineering or medical toppers. Because of this myth, lakhs of students never apply for premier careers in BBA, Law, Hotel Management, Corporate Finance, and Media. In Episode 2 of the CAREERPREP Podcast, filmmaker and host Ashish Deo sits down with Vishal Phale (Founder, CAREERPREP Institute, with 25+ years of career mentoring experience) to break down why students dread entrance exams—and the massive government benefits parents are missing.  Key takeaways every parent and student must know: The "Math Fear" Myth: You don't need 100/100 in math to clear entrance tests. In a 100-mark paper, math is often only 20–25 questions. With basic reasoning and English, you can easily clear cutoffs. The 10% EWS Reservation Advantage: If your total annual family income is under ₹8 Lakhs, your child qualifies for the 10% EWS quota. Hundreds of seats in top colleges go completely vacant every single year simply due to a lack of awareness. Higher Education Benefits for Girls: Special government fee concessions and free education initiatives across private & government colleges for eligible girl students. Timing Is Everything: Why preparing alongside Class 11th and 12th—rather than waiting for board results—is the true secret to cracking top college admissions. Your board percentage does not limit your life. The right guidance and preparation strategy change everything. Need One-on-One Career Guidance or Entrance Exam Mentorship?
