My Experience in the Nation of Islam | Cult-Like Dynamics & Divine Direction | Video 1

In this first video, I begin sharing my personal experience with the Nation of Islam, why I have decided to speak publicly about my journey, and what I mean when I describe certain experiences as having cultlike dynamics. I want to make something clear. I am not claiming that the entire Nation of Islam is a cult, nor am I speaking about every believer, mosque, or individual. I am sharing my personal experiences with certain behaviors, relationships, and group dynamics that I came to recognize differently as I gained knowledge, distance, and a clearer perspective. I also discuss where I was mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and personally before becoming involved with the Nation of Islam. I explain how prayer became a turning point in my life and how what I understood as divine direction ultimately led me toward the Nation, despite not practicing religion or praying at that time. This journey involves spiritual awakening, personal growth, difficult experiences, lessons, healing, and discernment. My purpose is not to bash anyone, create drama, or encourage hatred. My purpose is to share my truth, educate, raise awareness, and encourage others to think independently. I acknowledge that some of the knowledge I gained genuinely helped me grow, and that some individuals positively contributed to my journey. I can recognize the good while also speaking about the harm I experienced. Both can be true. You do not have to agree with my spiritual beliefs or interpretations to listen to my experiences. I encourage you to question, research, investigate, and exercise your own discernment. I’m here to provide the truth. You do as you will with that truth.
