BMW N47 Turbo REPLACEMENT - The E93 320d Gets a New Turbo

Finally I recieved a replacement turbo and got he 320d working again (after a slight hicup with smoke from the oil that was dumped into the exhaust). If your turbo has given up and the car was burning a lot of oil make sure to check the inlet and intercooler for oil. In my case it was all in the exhaust, and took a good 20-30 miles to fully burn off. This process is pretty much the same for all N47 cars in the E81, E82, E87, E88 1-series (118d, 120d & 123d), E90, E91, E92, E93 3-series (318d & 320d), E60, E61 5-series (520d), E84 X1 (18d & 20d) and the E83 X3 (20d).
