Rimeweld — The Oath Breaks You | Nordic Folk-Trap Metal

Rimeweld — THE OATH BREAKS YOU They needed timber. They needed ships. The forest stood silent. No man came to stop them. But the promise had never been made to a man. Generations ago, their bloodline swore an oath to the ancient northern forest. Leave the marked trees untouched. Keep the boundary. Remember the word. Then memory became inconvenient. The axe fell. And beneath the settlement, the roots began to move. THE OATH BREAKS YOU is a dark Nordic tale about inherited promises, forgotten debts and the difference between owning land and merely being allowed to live upon it. Huge war drums, deep 808s, tagelharpa, jaw harp, Hardanger fiddle and heavy syncopated guitars collide beneath a rugged male baritone and a cold commanding female Nordic alto. The dead keep vows. The living cheat. And every root remembers the name of the hand that broke the word. A word once given does not grow old.
