Ehsan Ghani, a former head of Pakistan’s premier civilian intelligence agency the Intelligence Bureau (IB) criticises government’s recent decision to place his former organisation under a “coordination committee” of intelligence agencies to be headed by the military’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). Ghani who headed the IB during the last controversial elections in July 2018 that brought prime minister Imran Khan to power also candidly admits lack of credibility of the electoral process. #MJtv exclusively interviewed the former civilian spy master who had also been the police chief of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa province and the first head of the country’s National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
