He got a letter of demand and after 14 days went back to court. The court set a date for appearance, and even though the seller kept signing the letters, he never showed up.The court gave David a letter to take to the sheriff. The sheriff also could not get hold of the seller - he evaded the sheriff. Eventually the seller called David, saying he heard the sheriff was looking for him, and pleaded to meet up to arrange repayment. David's lawyer advised him to agree. They met, the seller showed David the cars he said he would sell to pay back the R14 500 - but David still got nothing.
