Current frontier models behave well most of the time, but can be misused and occasionally go rogue, see huggingface.wtf as one example. The severity of such incidents will only grow over time if we let the labs continue development. Nobody fully understands how today's frontier models work and how they will affect their users, the economy, and the world as a whole. And yet labs keep advancing their models at an exponential pace.
