If you're new to candle making, this video covers the essential candle making tools and supplies every beginner should know before making their first candle. I'll explain what each tool is used for, why it's important, and share practical tips from my own candle-making experience. Whether you're making soy candles, gel candles, decorative candles, floral bouquet candles, or container candles, having the right tools will help you create beautiful, professional-quality candles. 🛠️ Essential Candle Making Tools Covered ⚖️ Digital Weighing Scale Accurately measures wax, fragrance oils, and additives to ensure consistent candle quality and proper fragrance performance. 🔥 Heat Gun Used to remove sinkholes, frosting, air bubbles, and uneven tops, giving your candles a smooth, professional finish. 🌡️ Thermometer A digital or infrared thermometer helps monitor wax temperature while melting, adding fragrance, and pouring. Correct temperatures improve fragrance throw and candle appearance. 🥣 Pouring Pitcher A heat-resistant pouring pitcher allows you to safely pour melted wax into moulds or containers after adding fragrance and candle dye. 🎨 Candle Dyes Both powder and liquid candle dyes work well. Choose the one that best suits your candle design and desired color intensity. 🧵 Candle Wicks Selecting the correct wick size and type is essential for achieving a clean, even burn and excellent candle performance. 📏 Wick Holder (Centering Tool) Keeps the wick upright and perfectly centered while the wax cools. 📌 Wick Stickers (Glue Dots) Secure the wick tab firmly to the bottom of the container to prevent movement while pouring. ✂️ Wick Trimmer Trims the wick to approximately 5 mm (¼ inch) before burning to reduce soot and improve candle performance. 🧪 Measuring Cups & Beakers Used for accurately measuring fragrance oils, dyes, and additives before mixing them with melted wax. ⚠️ Candle Safety Tips Always wear protective gloves when handling wax, fragrance oils, and other candle-making materials. Some ingredients may cause skin irritation. Avoid inhaling fragrance oil fumes by working in a well-ventilated area and wearing a mask when needed. For melting wax, you can use either: A wax melter A double boiler Choose whichever method works best for your workspace and production needs. ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 – Introduction 00:14 – Types of Candles 00:27 – Gel Candles 01:12 – Floral Bouquet Candles 01:30 – Mould Candles 02:03 – Couple Candles 02:22 – Essential Candle Making Tools 02:34 – Digital Weighing Scale 03:10 – Heat Gun 04:05 – Pouring Pitcher 04:25 – Candle Dyes & Mica Powder 04:48 – Types of Candle Wicks 05:40 – Wick Placement Tool 05:56 – Wick Holder 06:43 – Needle Tool 07:19 – Cutter 08:16 – Fragrance Oils 24:00 – Candle Moulds 💬 Have a question about candle making or any of the tools mentioned in this video?
