BMW E31 Pop-Up Headlight Repair and Refurbishing (840ci, 850ci and 850CSi)

Parts and Tools: https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/timmsbm... This video shows a quick method of repairing a Euro headlight that has the usual problem of a shattered adjuster bobbin. Sometimes these bobbins can be glued back together - but this time mine has completely shattered and glue just isn't going to work. There are kits available that replace all three bobbins but they are a real pain to use because the internal light assembly has to be removed from the housing (and bending the ancient wiring is never a good plan). What we are going to do is to remove the remnants of the shattered bobbin and replace it with a cable-gland. These devices have a threaded end which can be glued into the housing, and a compression part that will hold onto the threaded adjuster rod - all explained in the video.
