Chilarai: The Undefeated General India Forgot

Disclaimer: This video presents a researched account of the history of the Kamata and Koch kingdoms (15th–16th century CE) and the life of the Koch general Chilarai (Sukladhwaj). Historical sources on this period vary, and some events — particularly troop numbers, tribute figures, and the details of certain campaigns (including the Tripura campaign and the Arnold Toynbee "three greatest generals" claim) — are drawn from traditional court chronicles or popular retellings rather than independently verified records. These are flagged as such in the video. This content aims to inform respectfully about the shared history of the Northeast Indian region without disparaging any community, kingdom, or religious group involved. 0:00 Cold Open 0:26 Disclaimer 0:34 Title and Hook 1:08 Kamarupa ka Bikhrav – Kamata Kingdom 2:42 Kamata ka Patan (1498) 4:24 Bhuyan Resistance 5:32 Vishwa Singha ka Uday 7:14 Turbak Invasion aur Mula Gabharu 8:39 Pehli Koch-Ahom Jung 9:47 Do Bhai Gaddi Par (1540) 10:38 1562-63 Ahom Campaign aur Treaty of Majuli 12:37 Mid-Video CTA 12:45 Southern Campaigns 14:44 Gaur Campaign aur Kalapahar 15:52 Death and Legacy 16:43 Toynbee Question aur Conclusion Source- Wikipedia — "Chilarai" Wikipedia — "Biswa Singha" (Maharaja Biswa Singha) Wikipedia — "Nara Narayan" Wikipedia — "Nilambar" (Nilambar of Kamata) Wikipedia — "Bengal Sultanate–Kamata Kingdom War" Wikipedia — "Danyal (Hussain Shahi dynasty)" Wikipedia — "Khen dynasty" Wikipedia — "Kamata Kingdom" Wikipedia — "Treaty of Majuli" Wikipedia — "Koch–Ahom conflicts" Wikipedia — "Turbak's invasion of Assam" Wikipedia — "Sukhaamphaa" Wikipedia — "Ananta Manikya" Wikipedia — "Vijaya Manikya II" Wikipedia — "Tripura Buranji" / "History of Tripura" Wikipedia — "Arnold J.
