4 Classic 1970s Jazz Albums You Need on Your Listening List

In this video, I’m sharing four classic jazz albums from the 1970s that I think deserve a place on your listening list. The seventies were a brilliant time for jazz, with musicians blending in classical music, soul, folk and pop, and the albums I’ve picked show just how creative and varied the decade was. Along the way, you’ll hear about a flute-led record with some very unexpected sounds, a stripped-back piano trio, a dreamy late-night guitar album, and a big, uplifting finale. There’s even a connection or two running through them, so keep your ears open! Whether you’re a long-time jazz fan looking for your next favourite album, or you’re just starting to explore jazz records, I hope there’s something here that catches your ear.
