RIVER KEEP ROLLING – The Lost Jamaica Tape 1978

RIVER KEEP ROLLING – The Lost Jamaica Tape (1978) A river somewhere in Jamaica. A quiet afternoon away from the stage. Five musicians, a few instruments — and a song about letting go. RIVER KEEP ROLLING is a roots reggae song built around one simple idea: You don't have to carry everything forever. Let the river take the worry. Let the river take the sorrow. Let yesterday move on. “Take all my trouble, carry it from me.” The song and visuals are part of The Lost Jamaica Tape, a fictional music project created to capture the feeling of a forgotten Jamaican reggae recording from the late 1970s. The photographs are designed to feel like candid documentary images of the band away from the stage — resting by the river, talking, laughing, making music and simply spending time together. The recording, band and archival concept are newly created works. This is not an authentic recording from 1978. The year, photography style and “Lost Jamaica Tape” concept are part of the artistic presentation. 🎵 TRACK: RIVER KEEP ROLLING 📼 PROJECT: The Lost Jamaica Tape 📍 JAMAICA · 1978 🌿 STYLE: Roots Reggae / Jamaican Reggae / Reggae Soul 🎞️ VISUAL CONCEPT: Lost documentary photographs River keep rolling, rolling to the sea Take all my trouble, carry it from me Sometimes peace isn't fixing everything.
