Why Parents Should Buy comics for their Kids

This time around I am talking about a study produced in the mid-90s by Joanne Ujiie and Stephen D. Krashen (link to the study below) concerning comic book reading and reading for enjoyment. It's a very interesting study of 7th grade students in two different middle schools with one group being a typical middle class family and the other one comprised of Chapter 1 (now Title 1) students.
