Season 7 | Episode 374 This week on The Shrimp Tank, we sit down with Angelo Abbenante — Restaurateur & Co-Founder, Three Amigos Hospitality. Scott Frielich — Founding Partner, Three Amigos Hospitality. Cleve Mash — Co-Founder, Co-Partner & Experience Architect, Three Amigos Hospitality, to discuss their entrepreneurial journey, business insights, lessons learned, and the experiences that helped shape their success. The Shrimp Tank is produced in collaboration with the Florida Atlantic Entrepreneurship Institute at the Florida Atlantic University College of Business in Boca Raton, Florida. About The Guests: Angelo Abbenante, Scott Frielich, and Cleve Mash are the co-founders of Three Amigos Hospitality, the South Florida group behind Papichulo Tacos and Blackbird Modern Asian. Longtime friends and industry veterans, they bring together decades of experience in restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment to create destinations built around food, atmosphere, and community. Angelo is a fourth-generation restaurateur who grew up in his family’s Lynora’s restaurant before expanding the brand and developing concepts including Club Spazio and Stanza Lounge. Scott brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience, with a career spanning over 20 concepts, including Lost Weekend, DADA, Howley’s, and Kapow Noodle Bar. Cleve has spent more than three decades shaping South Florida’s nightlife scene and serves as the group’s Co-Partner and Experience Architect, focusing on ambiance, guest flow, and memorable experiences. Together, the trio has grown Papichulo Tacos from its original Jupiter location into a broader South Florida presence and expanded Blackbird Modern Asian from Jupiter to Naples. Their partnership combines family tradition, creative concept development, and operational experience with a shared understanding of what makes people return. About The Shrimp Tank: The Shrimp Tank is the first podcast in the world fully integrated into a university course curriculum, filmed at the Florida Atlantic University College of Business in Boca Raton, Florida. Each episode brings 30–40 entrepreneurship students into the studio to engage directly with CEOs, founders, and successful business leaders through live discussions and on-air questions. This immersive experience bridges the gap between classroom learning and the real world, creating opportunities for internships, mentorships, job offers, and meaningful professional connections. #TheShrimpTank #Entrepreneurship #BusinessPodcast #FAU
