Sword and Scabbard Techniques with the Han Dao

In this video we look at a couple of techniques that utilize the scabbard as a means of blocking, trapping, and controlling our opponent's weapon to allow for attack. Please keep in mind that most scabbards are made of wood which can easily break if used with force against any durable object. There are some swords with metal scabbards that could implement such techniques and concepts, but how you use your scabbard is up to you... personally I like to use mine to cover my swords when I'm not using them :) The sword in this video is the Han Dao by LK Chen and I highly recommend this sword.
