In this series thetrueaura plays pokemon fire red while managing an "auralocke" A custom version of a pokemon nuzlocke challenge. The goal is to nuzlocke every region in pokemon. Auralocke Rules Offical-ish 1. 1 Mon per route (Surfing, Fishing, HM objects, count as their own encounters) 2. Name every mon you catch 3. You do not have to catch dupes, you can look around for a non dupe BUT you have to catch the first non dupe. 4. You can only catch the first mon encounter per location encoucnter. 5. Try not to be overleveled, but I mean I personally dont want to stat check online sources every single person I see so... 6. Post game content does count, aside from stuff like battle towers n what not. 7. No healing or power ups in battle from the bag (Held items are okay) 8. Trade pokemon you can get, if you have the mon they need to trade 9. shinies you can catch no matter what, but dont go out of your way to shiny hunt 10. players choice, if your whole team is whiped you can either restart the run, or, train up the mons in your box 11. In older games your mon can faint from poison while walking, this wont count as a death 12. If a location has sub areas, this can count as a new mon capture spot, players choice (example: A cave that has floors, floor 1 is one encounter & floor 2 is another. Our a route that has something that splits it, the first area on that route is an encounter but so is the end of the route if its split by a forest or something of the sort) 13. If you KO a mon you need to catch, you can look for another one, but you can only catch THAT type of mon since its the first mon per route but sometimes mistakes happen 14. If a run is failed/lost, the player will have to pick a new starter they have not used yet, and then again, then go back to your first choice and repeat as many times as it takes to win 15. You cannot run from any fights, so make sure your team stays healthy 16. You cannot use trade evos BEFORE beating the 4th gym/getting to mid game 17. You can catch legendary pokemon but you cannot use any of them till you beat the game before post game, once in post game you can use ONE legendary on your team 18. You must fight every trainer, no skipping (its okay if you miss a couple if they are in weird spots that most players will miss) 19. Your lowest level mon should always be at the start of your party 20. The Time-Efficiency Clause (Speed Grinding): The "Weak Opponents" cheat code is strictly permitted for wild encounters to eliminate mindless, real-world grinding time when leveling up party members. To balance this shortcut, any shiny Pokémon encountered while the cheat is active cannot be caught if they faint due to the 0-HP modifier 21. Hard Level Caps: Pokémon levels are strictly capped at the highest level of the upcoming Gym Leader’s ace Pokémon (e.g., Level 24 for Lt. Surge,). If an active team member accidentally goes over the cap due to mandatory trainer battles, they are temporarily banned and must sit in the PC box exclusively for that specific gym battle. 22. If a glitch is in the game that allows you to dupe items or make tradeback npc's, as long as the tool is legal, the items and mons are legal, and the tms you found on your own first, then any tools or glitches are allowed. If its legal in home its legal in the game. I will however NOT go into details on how to do these things. 23. In some pokemon games you can dupe items using glitches. For any dupes, you must have owned the item first. You cannot spawn in an item. But since mondern games have endless TM usage, it is allowed to dupe TMs in older games as long as you have had gotten it yourself first. It is not legal to spawn in a TM you cant get or have not owned.
