How Lanter (RCC Roof) Is Made in Kashmir 🇵🇰 | Traditional Roof Construction Vlog 🏠🏗️ | 2026

Assalam-o-Alaikum! Welcome to Mustafa Ashfaq Vlogs In today’s vlog, I’m taking you along to a Lanter (RCC roof) construction day in Kashmir. 🏠🏗️ This was the Lanter work at Shahzad Uncle’s house, and Aqib Uncle suggested that I should make a vlog showing how this whole process is done. At the beginning of the vlog, I showed you the complete Lanter setup and explained how the pipes are placed first, followed by steel/sarria to prepare the structure of the roof. After that, a large number of workers arrived and started working together. You’ll also see how the construction material — cement, sand and gravel (bajri) — is mixed and transported to the roof using a machine. It was amazing to see how many people are involved in completing one Lanter and how everyone has a specific responsibility during the work. 💪🏗️ During the construction, we also arranged breakfast for all the workers. ☕🍳 After breakfast, everyone got back to work and the Lanter process continued. Throughout the day, I captured different moments and small clips so you can see the entire process from beginning to end. I also talked to Aqa Muqaddam Uncle, Rafaqat Uncle, Farhan and other people who were there. They explained different parts of the work and shared how the construction is managed. One of the most interesting parts of this vlog is seeing the teamwork behind a Lanter in Kashmir. When you see a completed roof, you might not realize how much hard work, coordination and manpower goes into making it. From preparing the material to carrying it upstairs, spreading it, leveling it and finally completing the roof — everyone plays an important role. ❤️ After several hours of hard work, the Lanter was finally completed! 🎉🏠 Then Rashid Uncle was called over, and we talked about the people responsible for managing and completing such a big construction job. The skilled mistri and other workers were also given rewards/inām for their hard work and dedication. 👏❤️ And of course, after all that hard work, it was time for food! 🍛 Everyone sat together, food was served, and the day ended with a beautiful feeling of togetherness. This vlog is not just about construction.
