The Sarpanch has alleged that during a development review meeting at the Bhograi block office, she was subjected to abusive and caste-related remarks and that a scuffle took place. She has also alleged that a gold chain weighing around 20 grams was pulled from her neck during the incident. The Bhograi BDO and MLA Gautam Das have denied the allegations, calling them baseless. The BDO said no such abusive remarks, physical altercation or chain theft occurred in his presence. Police and government officials were reportedly present at the spot. The matter has sparked discussion over the incident at the block office.
