The Story Behind Desert Plunge

This started with something much deeper than a product. I'm Matt, founder of Desert Plunge. I found cold therapy during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, and months of trying everything just to feel like myself again. Nothing worked until I stepped into a cold plunge for the first time and felt a shift I could not ignore. It started in 2019 on a trip to Ecuador that got cut short. I tried medications, therapy, supplements, working out. None of it pulled me out until my brother told me about Wim Hof. I got in a cold plunge, got out, and my mind completely shifted. Then 2020 hit and I knew I needed a way to bring this into my own home. A friend was filling up a cooler with ice, and I converted it into what became the first Desert Plunge. My wife posted one on Facebook Marketplace, we sold twelve, and that was the beginning. What started as a personal breakthrough turned into something bigger. A way to help other people find that same clarity and that same moment where things start to feel possible again. That is what Desert Plunge is really about.
