At this point I think I've just about milked the hell out of the new Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025 for all the content I can get out of it. So I decided to go ahead & start my next walkthrough on the other one called just Tokyo Xtreme Racer. The original that started it all back in 1999. It's been over 7 years since I last beat this game which was back when I initially got my Dreamcast back in 2019. Thing is I only have one memory pack for it to save data on, because I specifically got a Dreamcast just to get TXR & TXR2. Those are the only 2 games I have for it, so there's no need for any more memory packs. But because the TXR franchise is notorious for only allowing one save file per memory device, that meant in order to play through the game again I'd have to delete all the hard work I put in to grind the money needed to completely fill my garage. Because yes, believe it or not, the original TXR has a garage limit of 30 cars. Eventually I decided, in the name of content, to just bite the bullet & do it. The whole walkthrough has been pre-recorded & edited so it's all ready to go. I started recording a few weeks ago so it didn't take all that long to do. It'll be a quick 6-part series since the original TXR only has 141 total rivals to defeat, 3 parts to each of the game's 2 stages. The game consists of 20 teams and 8 bosses. The bosses are split into 2 groups defining each of the 2 stages. The first stage consists of the 4 Devas and the second stage consists of the 4 Devils. In stage 1 you race a boss after every 2 teams you defeat. So after defeating 8 teams & all 4 Devas, stage 1 is complete. Then in stage 2 you race a boss after every 3 teams you defeat. Same as before once you beat the rest of the teams & all 4 Devils, stage 2 is complete, and ultimately the game. There's no wanderers in the original TXR as that wasn't implemented until TXR2. It's honestly insane how different the original TXR is from all the others, even TXR2. I plan to post 2 of these a day to hopefully have all of them up by the day after tomorrow. What this game lacks in length, it more than makes up for in difficulty. You will see this a lot throughout this playthrough.
