Dun Arches St Kilda Aug 26

A surprising find of a sea arch on Dun, St.Kilda and the main arch. I couldn't get through the main arch as the tide was too low and there is a big shelf where you can see the water flow off of. It was maybe possibly hard to starboard, however, when you're out at St.Kilda, it is not the place to take unnecessary risks. This was film in 26/08/26. I'd travelled out from Colbost on the Isle of Skye, via Leverburgh and made a point of leaving at a time that would aline me with the tourist boats from Leverburgh. The whole expedition took 9 hrs and I travelled 162Nm. I used Garmin active captain, Predict Wind, Savvy Navvy, Met Office Off-shore and In-shore forecasts to plan and execute the trip.
