How can one enjoy the trip while staying safe and worry-free? Join this travelogue for a day trip to the outskirts of Tokyo, starting with a ride on a double-decker "Green Car" train to Kamakura, a historic cultural capital. Kamakura’s history dates back to the Kamakura Shogunate—a samurai-led government ruling from the 12th to the 14th century—before power eventually shifted to Edo (modern-day Tokyo). The itinerary includes visits to Kamakura’s Komachi-dori Street and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, a ride on the Enoden line to the famous "Kamakura-koko-mae" station (a pilgrimage site for fans of the anime *Slam Dunk*) and the Shonan coast, as well as a visit to the Enoshima Sea Candle observation tower—where Mount Fuji was glimpsed amidst shifting, stormy skies. Finally, the journey concludes with a ride on the Shonan Monorail, transferring at Ofuna Station to return to Tokyo as the wind and rain intensified.
