About The Hungry Ghost

The Hungry Ghost by Mei Leng Yew A New Earth production in association with Bush Theatre 1 - 31 October 2026 https://www.bushtheatre.co.uk/event/t... “I feel like a newborn out in the world for the first time. I feel… ravenous.” A young woman, caught between the expectations of her Chinese parents and her white girlfriend, unwittingly summons a hungry ghost with insatiable desires of its own. As the ghost starts to take over and she wrestles for control of her own body, her carefully constructed house of lies comes tumbling down around her. The Hungry Ghost explores what takes root in the space between superstition and rationality. Video by DMLK Video
