The Beauty Sector Workforce Readiness Pilot is an initiative of the United Nations in Kenya through UNESCO, delivered in collaboration with the Lintons Foundation and supported by the Government of Canada under the UN Joint Programme on Youth Skills, Employability and Civic Engagement. To kick off the program in August 2026, 11 Cosmetology TVET trainers completed targeted capacity building to prepare them to roll out industry-aligned training to a wider pool of youth and women across Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu. This pilot is designed to bridge the gap between technical training and market demand, creating sustainable pathways into employment and entrepreneurship within Kenya's rapidly expanding beauty and personal care sector.
