A Short Review of the Checkmate Retro Monitor

I backed the #checkmate #retro monitor's original Kickstarter campaign, and in this video will cover the original unboxing (just partially) and some initial thoughts after having used it over the course of almost two years on various projects (Amigas, C64, Sun workstations, early IBM machines, Ataris etc.). If, like me, you suffer from the reversed power buttons, I'll also show you how to fix that in a few easy steps. There's a (as of Oct 2026) new Kickstarter campaign for a second batch, go check it out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/... (I am not affiliated with or get kickbacks from mentioning the product!)
