Her therapist tells the jury, "I had no reason to believe that she was exaggerating." On cross she agrees she reviewed no police reports, no medical records and no photos. Then her brother describes a phone call from behind a closed door.
This is Lakeeta Hill v. Tyreek Hill, the civil trial in Miami-Dade over what Keeta Vaccaro Hill says happened behind closed doors in their marriage. She is the plaintiff. These are allegations, not findings, and Hill denies every one. The jury decides whether her claims are more likely true than not.
Part 9 closes Day 2 in front of the jury. Her therapist, Dr. Jennifer Wilson, testifies by video, and Hill's lawyer Bob Paradela takes her through how she was referred and what she did not review. Her brother, Kevin Vaccaro, describes a three-way phone call and the Pro Bowl weekend, and on cross his own deposition is read back to him.
Here is what I want you to weigh. The therapist works from what Keeta told her, and says so. The brother heard yelling over a phone line, could not make out the words, and was not there. Police came and made no arrest. Ask what the jury has from those nights beyond what Keeta told the people around her.
