Flatwound vs roundwound strings on a Fender Jazz Bass

This video is a comparison between flatwound and roundwound bass strings on Jazz Bass. The strings compared are LaBella 760FL flatwounds and D'Addario XL roundwounds. Both sets are brand new. The bass used is an all stock Fender JB62-75US, a japanese made Jazz Bass. The tone control on the bass is all the way up. I have rolled back the bridge volume a little bit to get rid of the mid scoop when I play pick- and fingerstyle, for slapstyle both pickups are on full. The bass is recorded through a good studio preamp and a little bit of compression is added.
