WRONG ROAD Sometimes chasing a dream means making choices you truly believe are right—only to find yourself wondering later if you chose the wrong road. I wrote this song during a time when I was desperately trying to find a way to bring the songs I had written to life. I trusted a path I thought would help me get there, and along the way I learned some painful and expensive lessons. The truth is, I’m still trying to figure it out. I haven’t found some magical better road where everything suddenly became easy. I still have questions. I still hit roadblocks. And there are still days when I wonder if there’s even a road out there that will take these songs where I dream of seeing them go. But one thing hasn’t changed. The music is still in me. These songs are still my words, my ideas, my stories, my emotions and pieces of my heart. And as long as I still believe in them, I’m going to keep searching for the road that gets them where they’re supposed to be. Maybe I took a wrong turn. Maybe I’ll take a few more.
