The Yacht Rock Songs We Grew Up With | Smooth 70s Jazz Covers

Welcome to Coastal Current Jazz, where the polished sound of late-70s yacht rock, West Coast pop, soft rock, and adult contemporary is reimagined with a smoother jazz touch. Familiar melodies flow through Rhodes electric piano, clean jazz guitar, brushed drums, warm bass grooves, mellow saxophone, subtle brass, and expressive female vocals — keeping the hooks and harmonies you remember while giving them a softer, more relaxed atmosphere. These playlists are made for sunset drives, weekend afternoons, dinner at home, coastal road trips, quiet evenings, or simply letting the music play while the day slows down. There is still movement in the groove, still warmth in the melody, and still that unmistakable feeling of the songs that once filled radios, turntables, and long summer drives. Let the evening settle in, follow the rhythm, and drift back to a smoother time.
