Ira - I arrived to meet the others at the Fayette Station takeout. They were scouting the final rapid when I arrived & upon arrival, with recent rains, I learned this would be the highest anyone in the group had ran the NRG. The first significant rapid would be Upper Railroad, and there was much confusion & unclear beta. I ended up way too far right which put me in the meat of the hole. I ended up swimming river right. I was ticked, shook & unsure if I could actually do this river. Confidence took a major hit since this hadn’t happened in a long while. Definitely want to get back for a revenge run on Upper Railroad at a later date.
