HemisFair '68, the 1968 World's Fair in San Antonio, Texas, filmed on real 8mm color home-movie film.
The trip arrives by air, then heads into the fair: the water ski show on the lagoon, the brand-new Tower of the Americas, the fairground rides, Los Voladores spinning down from their pole, the Panama pavilion with dancers in polleras, the Korea, Switzerland, Republic of China and Japan pavilions, a street-theater Macbeth on the plaza, and the fair lit up at night. Then it's off to The Alamo, the art show at La Villita and a boat ride on the River Walk, with a last stop at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.
This is real film, not AI. Restored by The 8mm Time Machine: cleaned, reduced grain and noise, upscaled to 4K and converted to 24 fps. AI was not used to color the film. The film had faded toward blue, so the color was corrected by hand to stay as close to the original film as possible.
