Welcome to the Vietnam vlogs 🎉
Starting it off strong with our Ha Giang Loop adventure. CORE MEMORIES were definitely made and we had no regrets booking with Flipside Adventures ❤️
🏠 We started off with a sleeper bus pick up to the main villa/accommodation. You can essentially book everything on their website: https://flipsidevietnam.com/
💰*have a WISE account set up for transaction transfers: we had to pay the rest of the package at the villa through this app, although I don't recall if you can pay with cash 🤔*
📱 They also give WhatsApp details for better communication with an actual representative with the company for bus accommodations and other questions!
🧳 We chose to do the 3 DAY vs 4 DAY tour because we wanted to spend a little more time in Hanoi after. Obviously, pick which package works best for you or your group 😁
🏍️ I didn't really know much about the whole motorcycle/biking aspect of this whole tour, but I would say PACK as light as you can. I made the mistake with packing way too much skin care and it made my bag a bit heavy lol 😅
📍Everyday had pretty much the same schedule: ride to scenic viewpoints, have lunch, ride to more scenic viewpoints, and head to the accommodation for the night. You have lots of time to view the scenery while on the bikes, talk with the drivers and other travelers there as well. It was fun learning which country everyone was from and connecting that way.
🌟 Overall, food was 4.5/5, great homestay meals, accommodation 4.5/5 (recommend solo rooms as they aren't too expensive unless you really want to be on a budget), hospitality 5/5, experience 5/5.
I only have positive things to say about this whole tour, it was such an eye opener for me to see how people live in Northern Vietnam and I feel like there is so much more to see. You really get to experience how the locals live and eat homestyle meals that locals typically eat. Something about travelling to Southeast Asian countries feels like home and the similarities with the Filipino culture is so interesting to see. It was a comforting and exciting tour. I definitely recommend doing it once in your life if you're not afraid of riding motorcycles 🥰
