Mit der OB70 können verschiedene Obstsorten wie z.B. Äpfel oder Birnen aufgelesen werden. Mit einem optionalen Nusskit können auch Nüsse geerntet werden. Beim Aufsammeln wird immer von außen nach innen zum Baumstamm hin gearbeitet. Bei Einzelbäumen im Uhrzeigersinn, damit das Stützrad und das linke Antriebsrad immer außen laufen. Auf diese Art werden keine Früchte von den Rädern zerquetscht. Bei hoher Fruchtbelagsdichte, großem Laubanteil oder viel gemulchtem Gras beträgt die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit 0,5-3 km/h, da hierbei die beste Reinigungsqualität erreicht wird. Bei anderen Bedingungen kann mit deutlich höherer Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit Obst aufgesammelt werden.
