The silent beauty of winter in the Swiss Alps. ❄️🏔️ In this episode of the Sound of Nature Series, I take you into the winter heart of the Engadin and over the iconic Maloja Pass. The winter season in this part of Switzerland transforms the landscape into a silent, frozen work of art. As an Outdoor Filmmaker, I try to capture not only the visual aspect, but also the peace and raw energy of the mountains. A bit of history (Did you know?): The Maloja Pass (1815 m above sea level) is fascinating because it is one of the lowest major passes in the Alps, but also one of the steepest on the southern side. Since Roman times, it has been a key trade route connecting northern Europe with Italy. Today, it is best known for its iconic serpentines, which create perfect geometry in the white snow in winter.
