Your laptop says connected. The page still will not load. What would you test first?
Follow Leah at a fictional radio station as we trace a web request, distinguish IP addresses, prefixes, gateways, DNS, ports and TCP, then investigate a stale DNS setting. Use the same questions in cloud, security and a small lab you control.
This is a simplified IPv4 and TCP teaching example. Real applications can use different protocols and many simultaneous requests. Signal Room, its people and incident are fictional; public addresses use documentation ranges. No employment outcome is promised.
What would your next test check? Keep private network details out of your comment.
