Hunting High and Low - Stratovarius (Guitar Cover)

🤘 Metal Monday is back, and today we're welcoming a first-time appearance on the channel from the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius with “Hunting High and Low.” This is one of those songs that grabbed me right away with its catchy melody and fantastic guitar work. Timo Tolkki, who wrote the song and played guitar on the original recording, really brings the melodic power metal style to life here. One of the things I especially love about the guitar work is the use of those harmonized guitar lines. As a huge Iron Maiden fan, that's something that immediately caught my attention. Stratovarius takes that classic metal harmony approach and blends it with their own power metal style, and the result is a song I've always really enjoyed.
