TBM: Otis Traction Main Elevators @ Oakbrook Center Red Garage

(Recorded July 5th, 2026) On a dark and gloomy early July evening, I decided to say farewell to these awesome 1991 Otis traction glass elevators at the Oakbrook Center Red Garage, as according to a friend that has contact with Otis themselves, these are supposed to be slated for modernization in early 2027, as part of a larger project to mod the entire parking garage system (except for the Green and Purple garages, as those are maintained by Schindler iirc), that began in 2023 with the Orange Garage Dovers, and I would assume the Yellow and other Orange Garage elevators will follow suit, after this is completed early next year R.I.P. The Red Garage Elevators 1991-2027 May they join their Nordstrom Vanity cousins in Elevator Heaven Like, comment, and subscribe for more elevators in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and beyond!   / prospectelevators
