Creators had hoped their vintage toy line by Playmates would help increase it's success. Playmates, well-known for its successful toy lines like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, produced a range of toys that were designed to capture the quirky, spooky charm of the beloved cartoon and TV characters, while aligning with the darker, humorous tone of the films.
